The story of Racine Gamay
It all started in 2019, on the roads of western France: Baptiste and Steeve, childhood friends, set out to present their cuvées by each selling the other’s wines. Together with Sylvain Tête, they created Racine Gamay. Today, the collective brings together eight independent estates, each with their own vines, vinifications, bottlings, and more than 80 terroir cuvées from Beaujolais and the Mâconnais.

Beaujolais has been recognized as a UNESCO Global Geopark since 2018
Geosites present in the Beaujolais Crus.
This distinction recognizes the landscapes and geological sites of international importance within the territory. This project is built around three main pillars:
The preservation and conservation of geological sites
Education and awareness-raising among populations regarding their environment
Local and sustainable economic development of the territory through responsible tourism.
The “Terrasse de Chiroubles” Geosite
Within the framework of the Geopark label, “a site may be qualified as a geosite in view of its scientific interest, its rarity, its educational scope, its aesthetic value. Sites of ecological, archaeological, historical and cultural importance must necessarily be included as additional geosites representing intangible geological heritage”.
The exceptional viewpoint of the Terrasse de Chiroubles at 740 meters altitude, starting point of the Panoramic Trail of the 10 Crus (2km), offers views of the Beaujolais hillsides, the Saône valley and, in clear weather, the Alps mountain range dominated by Mont Blanc.
